Individual work and assessment with perpetrators
Participants will be provided with the knowledge, understanding and skills to enable them to:
- Understand and work with denial and minimisation
- Increase motivation to change
- Implement the core principles of risk assessment and management within a perpetrator programme.
Group work:
- Deconstructing an incident of violence
- Work with perpetrators as parents
- help parents understand the impact of domestic abuse upon their children
- Cover sexual abuse in a DVA group setting
- Use techniques for developing empathy
- Using drama and role play techniques in groupwork
- CIndentify and practise alternative behaviour
- Practice group work.
